Community Based Missions

Giving back to the community is an important part of the Scott & Christie way of life.  Dr. Christie helped found the North Side Christian Health Center, a center dedicated to providing patients with affordable, holistic healthcare.  And, he also supports the Urban Impact Foundation by serving as a member of the organization's board.  Founded ten years ago, the Urban Impact Foundation strives to develop a healthy Christian community on Pittsburgh's Northside by reaching out to at-risk youth through a variety of activities.

In 2005, Mission Vision began providing eye exams and eyewear to the underinsured and underserved in the Pittsburgh area.  Mission Vision has visited such organizations as Light of Life in Northside, East End Cooperative Ministries located in East Liberty, and North Hills Community Outreach.
